Jingle Bells & Pingu

Our night time routine with my son usually involves watching an episode of Pingu on my iPhone. Pingu is a little penguin made of playdoh that lives in a snowy playdoh world and gets up to all kinds of mischief. Liam finds this hilarious & right now I must admit it keeps his attention better than a book. (I know terrible Mommy-LOL).

The next part of our rather unorthodox bedtime routine, after prayers, is for me to lie down on his floor and sing. The choice of song, not your typical lullaby, currently it's "Jingle Bells", if I attempt to sing something else he protests- "Mommy I want Jingle Bells". He's very particular, which really cracks me up!

I'm thankful for my silly boy and our silly bedtime routine. He falls asleep to Jingle Bells, I tuck him in & everybody is happy. Being a parent I've learned is doing whatever works for you!
