Weekends

I was just thinking about what a blessing it is to have my weekends to myself. I've had jobs where I was required to work weekends; in fact I had a full-time job where I worked weekend night shifts 7pm-7am, Saturday to Monday nights & at least one Friday a month. The weekend nights job didn't do much for my social life as a gal in her early twenties!  

Looking back thinking of the crazy jobs I've had and the different shifts; you do what you have to do to get by sometimes. Of course there are jobs that are always on shifts such as nurses, paramedics and even your friendly (and not so friendly) coffee shop employees. 

I'm thankful at this point in my life to have a steady job that is 9-5 for the most part. I'm very appreciative of all the people who work outside that box of regular hours to serve the public, it's not always easy...try to remember that next time your at the Timmie's drive through on a Saturday morning, especially if you're like me and have your weekends off.
