I did a bit of grocery shopping on my lunch today and I was reminded that we truly live in the land of plenty.
It's the middle of winter and I could buy pretty much any fruit or vegetable I want. We have so many choices of bread and meat among other things, it's almost overwhelming. Besides having endless choice of food there's dozens of different stores I could go to and buy whatever my heart desires.
I just want to take a moment and be thankful for the fact that I live in a country that is blessed beyond belief.
It's unimaginable to me sometimes, unless I really stop and think about it; that much of the world is just thankful to have a meal a day, yet so often I take for granted the endless supply of plenty that is available to me everyday!
If you're reading this and feel the same way consider sponsoring a child through World Vision or giving to another charity that feeds the many that depend on them daily for a simple meal and clean water.
God Bless.
Little bits of thankfulness...my perspective on things I'm grateful for; there are more than I could ever recount!
